Thinking about making extra money by mowing lawns? okay, well you've got everything in order except there's one problem... where /how do you start advertising?
Make an ad/flyer.
Make sure to include the following: -what service it is -your name, address, phone number, etc... -your prices. its better to have different prices depending on how long you're doing it, the size of the lawn, or the difficulty of the lawn most people go by the size of the lawn.
Think about the crowd you want to attract.
Do you want to work for just your neighbors? family? who?
Be careful on who you work for.
Don't work for someone who is flaky or who you think won't pay you for your services.
If you live in the USA, be careful on where you put or flyers.
It's illegal to put flyers on mailboxes (not the personal ones that go in your own lawns) and power poles. You might want to put flyers on people's doors, personal mailboxes, store windows (if you get permission) etc...
Put ads in the local newspaper.
This is a cheap way to get your name out there but it does come with a small fee. Most paper companies make you pay per word so be careful on how you word your ad. Make it with as less words/letters as possible.
